black and white image tutorial



1. Open your image into photoshop by going to File>Open.












2. Go to Image>Adjustments>Desaturate. This will make your image black and white. If you want to stop here, you can, but I'm going to do a few more steps to make it look a little bit better.












3. Go to Image>Adjustments>Curves.












4. When the window pops up, match your settings to mine. Press OK. (The input and output levels will vary for different pictures. If your image doesn't look quite right with these settings, feel free to adjust them.
